As a medical practice born and bred in Northern Colorado, Associates in Family Medicine is excited to grow our services in our home community with plans for a newly constructed medical facility in Windsor – scheduled to break ground on August 7, 2018 and open in spring of 2019.

Plotted for the southeast corner of Main Street and 17th Street, the two-story, 14,200-square-foot building will include a new urgent care while also expanding our existing primary care services within the Windsor community – where we’ve been caring for patients for the past 12 years.

“Our new medical facility will be the perfect opportunity to continue providing the high-level, compassionate care that our Windsor patients have come to expect,” said Dr. Elizabeth Maes, physician at our existing Windsor clinic. “Whether they’re visiting our urgent care or coming in for a scheduled office visit, our patients can expect hometown doctors and exceptional care every time.”

Providers serving at our current Windsor Office will work out of the new facility, along with a number of new urgent care providers. With nearly five times the square footage, 26 exam rooms, and increased access for acute conditions, the location will deliver non-emergency urgent care, in addition to full-spectrum family medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics, and radiology services.

The new urgent care clinic will add to AFM’s current urgent care services in Windsor by accommodating more patients. Additionally, patients will have access to quick, same-day care while also being seamlessly connected to our primary care services and other providers and specialists in the area.

“As Windsor and the surrounding communities continue to grow, we want to meet the imminent need for quality patient care that’s convenient and accessible,” said Dr. James Sprowell, CEO of AFM. “The new urgent care will provide a beneficial alternative for non-emergent issues to help patients avoid expensive emergency room fees.”

In an effort to support economic growth in the region, we are partnering with local businesses to design and construct the new facility.

“We have been part of the Windsor community for over a decade and are honored to be able to care for so many of our neighbors here,” said Gavin Kaszynski, CFO of AFM. “We sought out local businesses to partner with for this project, and are proud to be working with Elder Construction, VLFA Architects, and Interwest Consulting Group. This is our community too, so we want to do our part by keeping it not only healthy but also economically strong.”
