How often should I get my labs drawn?
The American Diabetes Association recommends that a person with diabetes stay up to date on the following to ensure that diabetes and its associated complications remain stable:
To help ensure that your medical record stays up to date, please notify your doctor of recent dental and eye exams. When you visit the eye doctor, please request that the results of your exam be faxed to your doctor. This allows your provider to stay up to date on your healthcare. Based on other medical conditions, you may need more frequent or different blood tests.
