A Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Serrano-Toy (“Dr. Toy”) left a career in corporate banking to attend medical school. She later completed a residency in family practice at the University of New Mexico and then served three years at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, Colorado.

Dr. Toy received her undergraduate degree from Wright State University in Dayton and obtained a graduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. After several years in corporate banking, she went on to medical school, earning a degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Married with three children, Dr. Toy is certified as a Natural Family Planning Medical Consultant (NaPro Technology). She enjoys hiking, camping, jogging, and skiing, as well as crafts and spending time with her family.
