Melissa was born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Missouri – Columbia (Go Tigers!). Melissa practiced as an ICU nurse in a variety of different settings, including medical ICU, trauma, and cardiac surgery, for several years. She then completed her graduate degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Saint Louis University. Melissa started her career as a nurse practitioner in a primary and acute family medicine clinic, providing care to individuals of all ages in a largely underserved population.
Melissa has been practicing since 2012.
Melissa’s approach to treating patients focuses on providing the best quality, evidenced-based and individualized care for each patient. Melissa focuses on shared decision making with every patient, making sure each treatment plan is focused on their needs and goals.
Melissa strives to have a good work-life balance. She has a variety of interests, including traveling, hiking (especially with her dog Toby), snowboarding, biking, reading, and baking. Melissa tries to live by example for her patients, emphasizing the importance of mental and physical health.

Melissa enjoys the variety and acuity associated with urgent care. She loves treating patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors.
Personally:
Melissa’s personal interests include balancing physical, emotional, and mental health. Melissa enjoys spending time with her family in Missouri and her husband’s family in Aurora. Melissa loves international travel, hiking (especially with her dog Toby!), biking, baking, and reading.
