Kristen graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Science from Alderson-Broaddus University in West Virginia in 1993 (back when it was rare to have master’s degrees in Physician Assistant programs). She spent one year on clinical rotations, mostly in West Virginia, with one month in trauma surgery in Flint, Michigan. Her first job as a PA was in the emergency department of Women and Children’s Hospital in Charleston, West Virginia. After two years, she moved to Colorado and worked at First Care Physicians (family practice/urgent care) in Loveland for 21 years.

“I enjoy getting to know patients and their families. Building relationships based on trust and communication allows me to deliver the type of care to my patients that I would like for myself or my family. The most fulfilling moments in my career happen when I interact with patients who have overcome obstacles and have decided to make wellness a priority. It is so rewarding to see the smiles on people’s faces who are feeling confident and healthy, knowing their hard work is paying off.”

“It is my goal to treat patients as I would like myself or a family member to be treated. I want you to feel you have been heard and that you receive the best medical care possible.”
