Dr. Joseph Prows traveled a circuitous path to Fort Collins by way of Alaska, Louisiana, California, Oregon, Massachusetts, and Texas. He enjoys collaborating with patients on their care plan, thoughtfully helping them determine the best path to health and happiness.

Dr. Prows graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans as a member of the “Katrina Class” of 2009 with an MD and a master’s in Public Health specializing in Epidemiology. In 2012 he graduated from the Alaska Family Medicine Residency Program, where his training emphasized full-spectrum care of complex patients in rural and underserved settings.
Working to embody a thoughtful, compassionate, and evidence-based approach to medicine, Dr. Prows emphasizes patient autonomy in medical decision-making, following unhurried discussion of all findings, impressions, options, uncertainties, costs, risks, and benefits.
