Dr. Joseph Browne practices based on the old adage, treat others as you wish to be treated. He is invested in his patients’ well-being and will treat them with empathy and compassion.
Dr. Joseph Browne graduated from CSU Pueblo in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Med. Dr. Browne then joined the United States Air Force in 1989 with the dream of earning the opportunity for the Health Professions Scholarship Program. This path led him to earn his commission by Officer Training School and worked as an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Officer. It was in the Air Force that Dr. Browne received a Masters of Science in 1993. By hard work and determination, Dr. Browne was selected for a military scholarship in 1995, which guaranteed him the opportunity to have a full military career. Dr. Browne then completed his schooling at the Osteopathic school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 1999. Thrilled by the challenge of evaluating and treating a diverse variance of ages, Dr. Browne pursued a Family Practice Residency from Saint Luis University in 2002. Eager to learn more, Dr. Browne completed a graduate year in Emergency Medicine at Wilford Hall in 2007. All while learning, Dr. Browne served two deployments in Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan before retiring from the United States Air Force in 2013.

Dr. Browne feels that there is importance in some of the simplest tasks.
“Be a good listener, give a thorough physical exam and discuss the findings”
But it doesn’t stop there. Dr. Browne also believes it is imperative to make a shared plan of action between him and his patient for proper management and treatment.
Dr. Browne tries to find the perfect balance between spending time with family, exercising, a healthy diet and emotional health. He is also always looking for ways to pay-it-forward in the Northern Colorado community through spreading his love for music and spending time giving back in the community.
Dr. Browne enjoys meeting his patients and finding the complexities in the acute illness, disease or condition. It is even more exciting for him to aid his patients in returning to a clean bill of health.
Being a curious individual, Dr. Browne’s hobbies are also interesting. He travels as often as possible to immerse himself in the cultures offered in each unique location. When he is outdoors, he enjoys snowshoeing and fly fishing. He even writes and plays music!
