Anne Siple, MD
Born and raised in Rochester, Minnesota, Dr. Anne Siple completed her residency training at the Mayo Clinic, where she received the Dr. Robert F. Avant Resident Leadership Award in 2008.
Dr. Siple obtained her undergraduate degree at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and returned home to Minnesota to earn her M.D. degree from Mayo Medical School.
Dr. Siple sees the patient-physician relationship as a partnership, but one where the patient is definitely in charge. She tries to express the many subtleties of medical decision-making in clear, understandable terms and then come to a decision together with her patients on the best course of action. Constantly amazed by the rapid evolution of medical knowledge. Dr. Siple stays as up-to-date as possible but readily admits when she needs to look something up or get a specialist involved.
Initially drawn to the family medicine specialty because she loves the challenge (it never gets boring!), Dr. Siple truly cherishes the long-term relationships she gets to form with her patients. In particular, she enjoys caring for pregnant ladies and loves being there to guide them as they bring new life into the world!
Dr. Siple tries to care for her body and the planet by following a vegetarian diet (although she readily admits this isn’t necessarily for everyone!). She works to help patients be their healthiest selves by advocating for nutritious foods, daily activity, plenty of sleep, and stress reduction.
Dr. Siple enjoys spending time with family, watching her children and husband in their sports and activities, reading, hiking, skiing, traveling, paddle boarding, and learning to slack line.
