Earn Wages, College Credit, and Tuition Assistance for On-the-Job Learning
Apprentices earn wages of $13-$15/hour while working and learning in clinic — 20-36 paid hours/week working in clinic
Apprentices can apply for college credit (PLA) for MAP 138, 140, and MAP 280 related to the experience gained in the clinic environment
Paid tuition for MAP 138, 140, and MAP 183 on behalf of the student by AFM
Industry Recognized Credential
Upon completion of apprenticeship requirements, the Apprentice will receive an Industry Recognized Credential from the U.S. Department of Labor
After graduating from the Aims Medical Assisting Program, the apprentice will be eligible to sit for the NCCT Medical Assistant Certification exam
Dynamic and Rewarding Career
After successfully meeting apprenticeship completion and Aims graduation requirements, the Apprentice will be a fully qualified Medical Assistant
Ongoing employment and advancement opportunities available within AFM and elsewhere

Interested?

  1. Complete all first semester FRCC MA Certification requirements (MOT 125, MOT 133, MOT 135, HPR 208, HPR 119, MAP 110, and MAP 120)
  2. Register for all FRCC MA Certification courses
  3. Sign up for an apprenticeship interview with Associates in Family Medicine
  4. All interested candidates meeting minimum requirements will be contacted for an apprenticeship interview
  5. If accepted, you can apply for college credit (via Prior Learning Assessment) for MAP 138, 140, and MAP 183 related to the experience gained in the clinic environment and graduate from the FRCC MA Certification Program. Tuition is paid for by AFM on behalf of the student for MAP 138, 140 and MAP 183.
