Childbirth Preparation March-April

This is a four-week series designed to prepare the expectant person and their supporting partner for labor, delivery, feeding, and early newborn care.

Class Topics:
• We will cover the signs and stages of labor, breathing and relaxation techniques, coaching skills, labor positions, anesthesia, and medical interventions. (3 classes – 3/22/2023, 3/29/2023, 4/5/2023)
• A breastfeeding class and newborn care class- discussing how to tell if your baby is getting enough milk, positions for feeding, along with benefits and challenges of breastfeeding. How to calm a crying baby, newborn appearance and development, safety, basic care, feeding options and when to call your provider. (1 class – 4/12/2023)

Cost: $90 for the series. This includes your instructor’s fee and access to a birth and breastfeeding WebApp. Note: The class fee covers both the expecting person and a supporting partner (only the expecting person needs to register for the class).

Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Dates: Wednesdays – March 22nd, March 29th, April 5th, and April 12th

Other Important Info: Please bring two pillows to the 1st class and wear comfortable clothing. Masks are optional.
